Flat Folded House

No scissors · No glue · No adult help needed

  • Square of origami paper, 150 x 150 mm (6 x 6 in)
  • Markers or crayons for the door and windows
Finished

Blue dashes: valley fold (toward you). Pink dash-dot: mountain fold (away from you). Thick line with scissors: cut. Yellow: glue.

  1. Start. Put the square down straight, with the edges at the top, bottom and sides, and the white side facing up.

  2. 1. Fold and unfold: Fold the left edge over to the right edge, then open it again. Now there is a crease down the middle.

  3. 2. Valley fold: Fold the top left corner down so its top edge lies along the middle crease.

  4. 3. Valley fold: Fold the top right corner down the same way. The two corners make the roof.

  5. 4. Draw: Draw a door and two windows on the white walls. Your house is ready!
