How to draw · Confident · about 20 minutes
Fox
You need: Paper, Pencil. Optional: Eraser, Orange, brown and black crayons, colored pencils or markers.
Thick lines: draw these now. Thin gray: already drawn. Dashed: light guides you erase later.
-
1. Draw a light circle for the head. Draw a light line straight down through the middle and a light line across, a little above the middle.
-
2. Draw a big light oval for the body under the head. Let it overlap the bottom of the head circle a little.
-
3. Draw two tall pointed ears on top of the head, the same size and the same distance from the center line. Join them with a short curve.
-
4. Draw the fluffy cheeks: out from each ear, two or three fur points at the sides, then down to a pointed chin on the center line.
-
5. Draw two slanted eyes on the eye line, the same distance from the center. Add the nose on the center line, two lines for the snout and a small mouth.
-
6. Draw the inside of each ear. Then draw a curve on each cheek from the snout to the last fur point: it shows where the white fur begins.
-
7. Draw the sides of the body down from under the cheeks. Then draw a big round bump on each side: the folded back legs.
-
8. Draw the bushy tail next, because it is in front. It comes out on the right, curls across the bottom and ends in a point that turns up on the left.
-
9. Draw the front legs. First draw a zigzag of white chest fur under the chin. Then draw the legs straight down to the tail, with one line between them.
-
10. Erase the guides: the head circle, the body oval, the center line and the eye line.
-
11. Finish with details: a line for the white tail tip and a line across the legs where the dark socks start. The tail is round, so shade its bottom edge with short lines.

Tip: Turn your paper upside down to check the face: if one side looks bigger, the center line shows you which.
