Scientific Questions about Behavior

Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. Learners see how it became a science, turn everyday questions into testable ones, write hypotheses with operational definitions, distinguish theories from hypotheses and falsifiable from unfalsifiable claims, recognize how intuition and hindsight bias mislead us, and explain one behavior (teenagers' late sleep timing) at biological, psychological and social-cultural levels. The elective is about research literacy, not diagnosis or therapy.
