12th Grade courses, learning paths and worksheets

What 12th graders learn

Twelfth grade often means precalculus, statistics or calculus, an advanced or AP science, British and world literature, and civics and economics. Calculus studies limits, rates of change and the area under a curve. Statistics asks students to collect data, judge samples and test claims, and economics adds supply, demand and personal finance. Extended research projects, college application essays and capstone projects ask students to plan long pieces of work on their own, and many seniors take AP or dual-enrollment courses that count toward college.
