11th Grade courses, learning paths and worksheets

What 11th graders learn

Eleventh grade is often Algebra 2, chemistry or physics, American literature and U.S. history. Physics describes motion, forces, energy and electricity with equations and graphs. Students practice rhetorical analysis and argument, build the reading stamina the SAT, ACT and AP Language exams ask for, and work with primary sources in history. Honors and AP courses, data structures in computer science and exam preparation fill out the year, so steady review matters more than cramming. Many students take the SAT or ACT for the first time in the spring.
