The first 10 levels of every game (5 in 3D adventures) are free. The first five courses of every subject path are free. Every child can save progress, earn stars and keep what they make, and grown-ups get basic progress reports, the creative studios, every printable in the catalog and every privacy control. Teachers can run classes, and schools can set up their dashboard, with the free levels too.
Every printable in the catalog is free for everyone: more than 1,600 worksheets, puzzles, mazes, coloring pages and print-and-play games for Preschool to Grade 12, with answer keys for grown-ups who sign in. The printable generator comes with every paid plan, with no limit: it makes brand-new worksheets, puzzles, packs and answer keys for any grade and subject, at four levels, every time you press Generate.
Not at the moment. Instead, the free plan has no time limit: your children can play the free levels of every game and take the free courses for as long as you like, with no payment details.
Family Premium covers each child you add, with no limit on how many: $7.99 a month, or $79.99 a year, for each child on your plan. You choose how many children to cover when you buy it and can add places later on Plans & billing. Places go to your children in the order you added them, and a child without a place can still play the free levels of every game. Independent Teacher is priced per student you teach, with no minimum. School and organization plans are per student too: School starts at 20 students and Organization at 50.
It's the same plan either way. Paying yearly saves 16% compared with twelve monthly payments and is paid once a year. You can move from monthly to yearly at any time: it starts straight away and you pay only the difference for the rest of the period.
Yes, on Plans & billing, and you'll see exactly what changes before you confirm. Upgrades (monthly to yearly, or more children or students) start straight away and you pay only the difference for the rest of the period. Moving to a lower price, or from yearly to monthly, starts at the end of the period you've paid for, and you can keep your current plan until then. A family plan stays a family plan. School and organization plans can switch to each other (minimums apply), while an independent teacher's plan can't become a school's, because a school or organization buys its plan on its own account.
On Plans & billing, choose Cancel at period end. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for and doesn't renew after that. Changed your mind? Choose Keep my plan before then.
Nothing your family made is deleted. Children keep their progress, stars and creations, and the free levels stay open. You can export or delete your family's data at any time, on any plan.
A grown-up buys a plan on the PlayOwl website, on Plans & billing, after signing in: a family's owner or guardian, or a school's or organization's admin or billing manager. The PlayOwl apps for Windows, Android, iPhone and iPad don't sell anything and don't link to purchases, but a plan you've bought works in them once you sign in.
You pay on PlayOwl's secure checkout with Stripe; card details go straight to Stripe, and PlayOwl never sees or stores card numbers. On Plans & billing you can change your card, see every invoice and receipt, and set the email and address for your receipts. Taxes may apply where you live.
Your plan keeps working for a few days while the payment is retried. On Plans & billing you can update your payment method and pay the missed payment straight away, and nothing changes for your children.
An admin or billing manager buys the plan for the school or organization on Plans & billing, per student, monthly or yearly. School starts at 20 students and Organization at 50. The plan covers class sessions and class work in every class, and never reaches siblings at home. Seats bought and seats in use show on the school dashboard; if more students are enrolled than seats bought, admins see the difference and no student is locked out mid-lesson.
