Sentence Style, Precision and Editing

Learners polish sentences for meaning, style and correctness. They build sentences with absolute, participial and appositive phrases and with noun, relative and adverb clauses; repair dangling and misplaced modifiers and unclear pronouns; replace wordy and vague language with precise words; and edit for tricky subject-verb agreement and commas around nonessential information. They finish by editing a paragraph and explaining their choices.
