Build and Defend a Computing Solution
In this capstone-style course learners define a computing problem precisely (a lab-booking clash checker), compare candidate algorithms, gather evidence from edge-case tests and operation counts, discover that a fast shortcut is subtly wrong, evaluate solutions honestly against success criteria, and defend a recommendation with claim, evidence and reasoning, including limitations and effects on people.

- Ways to answer: choose an answer, trace code, highlight a text, type a number, put in order and sort into groups
What learners will discover
- Define a computing problem with inputs, outputs, rules, constraints and measurable success criteria.
- Compare candidate solutions using correctness tests and cost evidence.
- Evaluate a solution against success criteria, separating supported conclusions from limitations and overclaims.
- Defend a solution with claim, evidence and reasoning, answering challenges and acknowledging trade-offs.
