Personal Finance and Consumer Decisions
A compact survey of the financial documents and decisions young adults meet first. With fictional people and numbers, learners read a pay stub, interpret a loan disclosure (APR, finance charge, total of payments), check lease and contract terms, compare warranties and return policies, calculate total cost of ownership and use present value to compare offers that pay at different times. The Personal Finance and Economics elective covers these topics in more depth.
