Perspective, Narration and Adaptation
Learners read an original story told by two narrators, a girl who thinks her neighbor is mean and the neighbor himself, then compare it with a screenplay adaptation written for this course. They analyze how an author develops and contrasts characters' points of view, learn the techniques unique to film, audio and stage, compare a story with its adaptation, and plan an adaptation of their own.
