Compare Informational Accounts
Learners compare two fictional accounts of a city's plan to close a neighborhood library branch: a city budget office press release and a community newspaper feature. They identify central ideas in each, analyze which evidence each author emphasizes, test competing interpretations of the same visitor data with a chart, examine how authors set their positions against others, and write a comparison.
