What it is

A tidy 3D workbench with a battery, bulbs, switches and wire pieces. Complete the loop to light a bulb, then compare bulbs in one loop (series) with bulbs on their own paths (parallel), and use switches to make exactly the right bulbs glow. The game uses a simple model of ideal parts, explained on screen.

What children learn

A bulb lights only in a complete loop with the battery. Bulbs in series share the battery's push and glow dimmer; bulbs in parallel each get the full push. Switches open or close one part of a circuit. A short circuit (a wire straight from one end of the battery to the other) is unsafe with real batteries.

How to play

Pick a part, turn it with Turn, then tap a square to place it (tap again to remove). Tap a switch to open or close it. Press Switch on to test. Drag to look around; + and − zoom. Keyboard: arrow keys turn the view, + and − zoom, R resets; on the bench pad, arrow keys move, Enter places or flips a switch, T turns, Delete removes. A flat top-down bench works without 3D graphics.
