What it is
Detectives crack cases with data: picture graphs with keys, scaled bar graphs, line plots with fractional measurements and line graphs over time. Questions ask how many, how many more, how many in all and which way a trend goes, and some cases ask you to build a bar graph from a tally. Every chart has a matching data table.
What children learn
Reading and building data displays: picture-graph keys, bar-graph scales of 1, 2 and 5, line plots in whole units and quarter inches, line graphs and trends, and one- and two-step how-many, how-many-more and total problems.

How to play
