What it is
Every bridge plank is exactly one whole. Children saw planks into equal parts, paint fractions, line up two planks to build equivalent fractions, and compare fractions by building both. Older builders lay two planks end to end to add and subtract fractions, choosing equal cuts that fit both. Builds are checked exactly: the parts must be equal and the painted share must match.
What children learn
Builds fraction sense on a length model: equal partitioning, unit and non-unit fractions, naming painted parts, equivalent fractions with the same whole, simplest form, comparing fractions with like and unlike denominators or with one half, and adding and subtracting fractions through a common denominator.

How to play
Use the saw buttons (− and +) to choose the number of equal parts, then tap or drag across parts to paint them. Keyboard: Tab to the plank, left and right arrows move between parts, Space paints, minus and plus change the cuts, Enter checks.
