What it is
A turnable 3D globe and a matching flat world map drawn from the same simplified Natural Earth data. Explore with labels, then find continents, oceans and countries without them, solve globe riddles and pin capital cities. Switch between globe and map at any time — your question, your choice and your pin stay exactly where they were. This is a simplified world map made from Natural Earth data. Country borders follow Natural Earth's conventions, and places where people disagree about a border are never used to mark an answer wrong.
What children learn
Builds a mental map of the world: the seven continents and five oceans, where countries are, how the round globe becomes a flat map, and how to describe places with words like north of, between and across.

How to play
Drag to turn the globe or move the map, pinch or use + and − to zoom, and tap a place to choose it, then press Check. Keyboard: arrow keys turn or move, + and − zoom, R resets, Enter chooses the place in the middle; or use the region list. Works without 3D graphics on the flat map.
