What it is
A bright, blocky valley in 3D. Hop forward, back and sideways one square at a time. Wait for a gap in the traffic, ride the drifting logs across the river and wait on the grass when the train lights flash. Shiny coins are scattered along the way. If Pip gets bonked by a car or splashes into the river, Pip pops back at the last checkpoint flag and tries again: there is no game over and no timer. A flat map view works without 3D graphics.
What children learn
PlayTime is played for fun. Hop-Along Valley practises watching moving things, judging gaps and timing a move, but it is never counted as learning evidence.

How to play
Arrow keys or W A S D hop forward, back, left and right. On a phone or tablet, use the big hop buttons, tap the game to hop forward, or swipe in any direction. P or Escape pauses.
