Read Longer Texts with Graduated Vowel Support
Most real Arabic is printed without vowel marks. Learners make the transition deliberately: they read a longer text about Oman's ancient falaj irrigation channels whose paragraphs move from fully vocalized to partly vocalized to unvocalized, and learn how readers supply missing vowels from patterns, grammar and context, how to resolve words that can be read several ways (كتب: كَتَبَ، كُتُبٌ، كُتِبَ), and how to summarise an unvocalized text.

What learners will discover
- Supply missing vowels while reading by using word patterns (فَاعِلٌ، مَفْعُولٌ، مَفْعَلٌ), grammar clues (after prepositions, after إِنَّ) and context.
- Understand a longer connected text whose vowel marks are gradually removed: main ideas, details and how the paragraphs link.
- Choose the correct reading of an unvocalized word that has several possible readings (كتب، علم، درس) from its context.
- Summarise an unvocalized informational paragraph accurately in your own words.
