French · Grade 4
Connect Ideas and Ask Better Questions
Learners move from single sentences to connected French. They ask precise questions with inversion (Parle-t-il… ? A-t-elle… ?), question words with prepositions (avec qui, à quelle heure, depuis quand, d'où, pour quoi faire) and quel or qu'est-ce que; they link ideas with connectors of addition, contrast, cause, result, time and condition; they combine sentences with qui, que and où; and they turn an interview into a connected profile paragraph.
