A Proof and Design Portfolio
The geometry capstone. Learners choose among two-column, paragraph, coordinate and transformation proofs for the same theorem, critique and repair flawed proofs, and complete a design brief for a fictional community-garden pavilion that draws on area, volume, similarity and trigonometry. They finish by assembling portfolio pieces: a polished proof and a design report written for a non-specialist audience.

- About 145 minutes
- Portfolio check: 11 questions
- Ways to answer: choose an answer, highlight a text, match pairs, type a number, put in order and sort into groups
What learners will discover
- Choose an appropriate proof format (two-column, paragraph, coordinate or transformation) and write complete, justified proofs.
- Critique proofs: identify unjustified steps, circular reasoning and invalid criteria, and repair them.
- Complete a design task that satisfies geometric constraints using area, volume, similarity and trigonometry.
- Communicate mathematical reasoning and design decisions clearly and honestly for a specified audience.
