Choose a Calculus, Statistics or Modeling Extension
Learners meet three directions that mathematics takes after precalculus: calculus (finding accumulated change from a rate), statistics (estimating with uncertainty from random samples), and mathematical modeling (optimizing a decision under constraints). Every learner works through all three short extensions, decides which tool fits which question, and goes deeper in the one they choose.

What learners will discover
- Choose an appropriate tool (accumulation, statistical estimation or optimization) for a question and justify the choice.
- Estimate accumulated change from a rate using areas and Riemann sums.
- Use repeated random samples to describe sampling variability and build an approximate interval estimate.
- Model a decision with linear constraints and find the optimum at a vertex of the feasible region.
