Publish a Regional Field Guide
The Grade 3 capstone. Learners plan a field guide to a region: they learn the parts of a guide, gather and sort facts about the Shawnee Hills of southern Illinois from a source pack, check facts against opinions and judge which sources to trust, then write and revise a field-guide entry with map evidence. The quiz asks them to do the same for the Great Lakes region.
