Themes, Viewpoints and Structure
Learners read an original three-scene story about two partners building a craft-stick bridge, told by a narrator who misjudges her partner, and a public-domain poem by Emily Dickinson. They find themes from how characters respond to challenges, see how a narrator's point of view shapes what readers learn, explain how scenes and stanzas fit together, and write a summary.
