Coordinate Graphs and Rate of Change
Learners read the story a graph tells, compute slope from points, tables and graphs and interpret it as a rate with units, write and graph lines in slope-intercept, point-slope and standard form (including horizontal and vertical lines), and measure the average rate of change of curved relationships over an interval.

- Ways to answer: choose an answer, type a fraction, draw a graph, plot points, match pairs and type a number
What learners will discover
- Interpret and connect qualitative graphs with situations, describing increasing, decreasing and constant intervals and relative steepness.
- Compute slope from two points, a table or a graph, interpret it as a rate of change with units, and identify zero and undefined slopes.
- Write and graph linear equations in slope-intercept, point-slope and standard form, and find their intercepts.
- Calculate and interpret the average rate of change of a non-linear relationship over a stated interval.
