Mission 1 · Free for everyone
The Missing Picnic
Nia, Leo and Grandma June come to the park for a picnic, and the picnic is not there. Follow the clues to find it, read the list, gather what is needed and share it so that everyone gets a fair part. And find out who moved it: nobody took it, somebody was only trying to help.

For grown-ups: what this mission practices
Following picture and written clues, reading a list, counting out amounts, and sharing fairly. Younger children sort, match, count and deal out one each. Older children use map directions, per-person amounts, a coin budget, halves and quarters, ratios, weight and time limits, and explain why a plan works.
- Ages
- Five versions, from Preschool to Grade 8. They are different designs, not the same task with other numbers.
- How it is checked
- Every answer is checked by rules the child can see at work on the screen. Any answer that meets them is right.
- Help
- Olly can read any line aloud, give a hint that points at where to look, or show one way. A report says where help was used.
- Time
- Nothing is timed. A part takes a few minutes and progress is saved after each one for a signed-in child.
