Arabic · Grade 9
Explain and Defend an Idea
Learners build a short argument in Arabic: a clear claim, reasons, examples and evidence, an honest look at the other side, and a response to it. They analyse a student's opinion paragraph about giving one school hour a week to a school garden, practise the language of claims, evidence and concession لٰكِنَّ …), defend an idea in a discussion, and write and present their own opinion paragraph.

What learners will discover
- State a clear claim on a question and support it with relevant reasons
- Support reasons with examples and evidence and judge which support is strongest
- Acknowledge a counterargument fairly and respond to it (صَحِيحٌ أَنَّ …
- Write and present a structured opinion paragraph: claim, reasons with examples, counterargument and response, conclusion.
