Water, Weather and Earth Systems
Learners model the water cycle as water moving among oceans, air, land, ice and living things, driven by energy from the Sun and by gravity. They explain humidity, dew point and cloud formation, link air pressure to wind and weather, use weather-station data to identify a passing front, and distinguish day-to-day weather from long-term climate using data tables and graphs.

What learners will discover
- Model the water cycle as the movement of water among oceans, air, land, ice and living things, identifying how the Sun's energy and gravity drive each process.
- Explain how temperature, humidity and air pressure relate to cloud formation, precipitation and wind.
- Describe air masses and fronts, and use weather-station data to identify a passing front and predict weather changes.
- Distinguish weather from climate and interpret weather and climate data in tables and graphs.
