Observe and Record Changes
Children watch things change over time: ice melts into water, a puddle dries up, a seed sprouts. They put before-and-after pictures in order, run an ice-melt race between a sunny spot and a shady spot, and learn to record what they see with drawings and marks so they can count and remember it later.
