Weather, Light and Daily Patterns
Children sort daytime and nighttime, find things that give off light, and discover that a shadow appears when something blocks the light. They follow the sun's pattern across one day (low in the morning, high at midday, low in the evening, then night) and trace their own shadow to see it change from long to short to long.
