Explain and Defend a Position
Learners build and defend a nuanced position on a real debate: should popular cities limit tourism? Working with original source extracts, an illustrative resident survey and interview quotations, they write an arguable thesis, select and evaluate evidence, use logical, credible and measured appeals, master advanced argumentative language (hedging, aunque + indicative or subjunctive, si + imperfect subjunctive + conditional), and rebut counterarguments in a full essay with an optional oral defense.
