About these dinosaur coloring pages
Nobody knows for sure what color most dinosaurs were. Scientists have found traces of color in a few feathered dinosaur fossils, but for the big ones in these pictures the colors are a guess, so children get to decide. Greens and browns like a lizard, stripes like a tiger or spots like a leopard are all fair.
Each page shows what makes the dinosaur easy to recognize: the stegosaurus's plates and tail spikes, the triceratops's three horns and wide frill, the long-neck dinosaur's very long neck. Talk about those features while you color, then try the T. rex drawing lesson.
