Science · Grade 2
Plant Needs and Seed Dispersal
Learners plan a fair plant investigation, changing only the hours of light, then measure and compare plant heights to show that plants need light and water to grow. They discover how wind, water and animals carry seeds to new places, and use a cotton-swab 'bee' model to show how animals move pollen between flowers so plants can make seeds.
