Structures, Senses and Survival

Plants and animals are built from structures that work together: outside ones like thorns, shells and eyes, and inside ones like hearts, lungs, stems' water tubes and skeletons. Learners connect each structure to how it helps the organism survive, grow, behave and reproduce, model how senses send information to the brain so an animal can respond, and build arguments about structures from evidence.
