Geography · Grade 7
World Regions and Their Connections
Learners tour the regions of the Western Hemisphere — Canada and the United States, Middle America and the Caribbean, and South America's Andes, Amazon and Southern Cone — and compare them with data. They then study the connections that tie regions together, from the Panama Canal and trade agreements to migration corridors, and analyse how a disruption in one place, such as a drought at the canal, ripples out to others.
