Ask a Worthwhile Question
Every good investigation starts with a good question. Learners tell researchable questions from ones that are not, use open and closed questions for different jobs, recognize statistical questions that expect answers to vary, and narrow or broaden a question until it fits the time and evidence they have. Examples come from a school garden club, a city skate park plan and a science-fair idea. They finish by writing a question proposal.
