Light and Seeing
Why can't you see your toy in a dark closet? Learners discover that we see objects only when light shines on them and reaches our eyes. With a flashlight test they sort materials that let light through, let some light through, block light and make shadows, or bounce light like a mirror, then use their evidence to choose materials for curtains, windows and a shadow-puppet screen.
