1st Grade Science Worksheets

Early elementary science builds the habits of a scientist: asking questions, observing carefully and testing ideas. Children study what plants and animals need to live, patterns in weather and the sky, pushes and pulls, light and sound, and the properties of materials. Recording results in drawings and simple charts is part of the work. First grade science explores light and sound, how plants and animals use their parts to survive, and patterns of the sun, moon and stars. Each first grade science worksheet is a free printable PDF in US Letter or A4, many with an answer key for grown-ups and a low-ink version.
