How Owls Hunt at Night
A meadow at night under a full moon. A pale owl with a round, heart-shaped face sits on a low branch of a big tree at the edge of the meadow, looking down. Far below, among tall silver grass, a tiny brown mouse runs along. Dark trees stand at the edge of the field, and a few stars shine.
A mouse scurries through the grass on a dark night. It does not know that an owl is watching from a tree. Most owls are nocturnal, or active at night, and their bodies are built for hunting in the dark.
