Phonics Games for Kids

Phonics is how children learn that letters stand for sounds and that sounds blend into words. These free phonics games follow the order most schools teach it: first sounds and letter names in preschool and pre-K, then rhymes, syllables and short-vowel words in kindergarten, then blends, digraphs such as sh and ch, and vowel teams in first and second grade. Olly can read every direction aloud, so children can play before they read on their own. The printable sheets below, and the Read with Olly books, give the same sounds on paper and in stories.
