Penguins on the Ice
A wide sheet of white ice beside a dark blue sea on a clear, cold day. A few tall black-and-white penguins with yellow-orange patches on their necks waddle in a loose line across the ice, well apart from each other. One penguin dives into the sea with a splash. No eggs or chicks can be seen.
Some penguins live on the ice in Antarctica. Penguins are birds, but they cannot fly.
