Should Schools Start Later?
At 6:15 on a school morning, my alarm goes off in the dark, and for the first hour of class, I am awake only in the sense that my eyes are open. I am not alone, either: in my first-period science class, at least a third of the students look as if they are sleeping sitting up. Our school day begins at 7:30, and I believe it should start no earlier than 8:30.
