Animals in Winter
Snowy woods on a still, bright winter morning. Tall bare trees and a few dark pines stand in deep snow. A brown deer with a white tail stands among the trees, its breath puffing. A gray squirrel with a bushy tail digs in the snow at the foot of an oak. High in the pale sky, a line of geese flies away.
Winter is cold, and food can be hard to find. So animals have different ways to get through it.
