Grade 2 · Poem
My Shadow
A garden lawn in warm afternoon sun. A girl of six with fair skin and a short blonde bob, in a red dress, white socks and brown shoes, walks along a stone path with her arms swinging. Her dark shadow falls beside her on the grass. Behind her are a white house, rosebushes, and a tabby cat dozing on a low wall.
I have a little shadow that goes in and out with me,
And what can be the use of him is more than I can see.
