Early typing practice teaches where the letters live on the keyboard. Children find the home row, press keys with a light touch, use both hands and type short words. Accuracy comes first, so speed is never the goal at this age; a few relaxed minutes a day is plenty, with good posture and the screen at eye level. Each first grade typing worksheet is a free printable PDF in US Letter or A4, many with an answer key for grown-ups and a low-ink version.
