Sight Word Games for Kids

Sight words are the small, common words such as the, said, was and you that turn up on almost every page and often break phonics rules, so children learn to read them at a glance. Most children work on them from kindergarten to second grade, often from the Dolch or Fry lists. In these free games children hear a word and tap it, pop it among look-alike words, or hunt for it in a word search, a few minutes at a time. The printable sight word sheets below give the same words on paper.
